About
BioChron offers integrated solutions to geological dating problems and specialises in assisting in geotechnical and geohazard risk assessment studies relating to sub-sea installations, such as pipelines and wind turbines. BioChron also provides biostratigraphic input to archaeological projects. BioChron has access to a wide network of highly experienced specialists in a range of technical disciplines.
We use biostratigraphy (typically microfossils, palynology, nannofossils), radiocarbon (14C), 18O and other methods to provide localised chronometric frameworks. While this usually involves Holocene and Pleistocene sediments, studies on older strata are also undertaken.
We have carried out countless hydrocarbon exploration and production related projects worldwide including in The Caspian, The Black Sea, offshore West Africa, Indonesia, NW Australia and Gulf of Mexico to name but a few. We can also provide palaeoenvironmental input to archaeological studies.
